EventSouk does not provide just a listing service. It minimizes the time for the event owner to host an event by allowing service providers get back to the event owner instead of providing a directory of services to browse through.
For the service providers, it provides a competitive environment which acts as a sales tool to give continuous leads.
Currently EventSouk is only covering Bangalore, India. However, it will soon be available in multiple cities and also internationally.
EventSouk supports various Credit and Debit cards. It also supports Net banking for various banks. More details can be found on the payment page.

EventSouk does not take any part in the fulfilment of an event. EventSouk only provides a platform to connect the various stakeholders of an event. The fulfilment of the event will be done offline by other stakeholders and will not be connected to EventSouk in any way.
After you have created an event, you can share the public URL to your event page via Facebook, Twitter and Google+. EventSouk also gives an option to invite people to an event by providing their email addresses.
Soon, EventSouk will also give an option to create a personalised website for your event.
You can invite people by clicking the “Invite more people” button on the event page. On clicking of the button, you can enter the email addresses of the people you want to invite. You can manually enter the email addresses, upload a CSV file with the email addresses or connect to your Google account to fetch your contacts from there.
The invitees will be given a link to the event page where they can update their attendance status. They can either say “Yes”, “No” or “Maybe”. This information will be accessible to the event owner so he can keep a track of the attendees.
EventSouk is always free for event owners forever! The owner can opt for some additional paid features if required. But to create an event, it is free forever.
EventSouk provides a wide variety of services to select from. The event owner can select any number of services he requires for the event.
For every service type, the event owner can select just one provider. The total number of service providers that can be a part of the event is equal to the total services that are required for the event.
The event can get closed if the maximum time for bidding has been crossed. Every event gets 3 days (from creation of event) to receive bids. After 3 days, the event will be closed. This means that services cannot bid for the event anymore. The event owner can, however, select a perfect bid even after the event is closed.
The event can also close if a bid has been selected for each of the required services. If the event owner has found all the suitable service providers for the services, the event will be closed and will not allow any more bids.
After an event is closed, the event cannot receive any more bids from any of the service provides. The event owner will have to select from the bids he has received.
Every time an event receives a bid, the bid details will be added to the “Services” table on the event page. The event owner will also receive a notification with a count on “My Events” on the top navigation bar. On hovering on “My Events”, the event owner can see the number of notifications for each of the events.
The event owner also has the option to receive email and SMS notifications every time a bid is received. These settings can be changed from the user’s Settings page.
Once an event is created, only certain details of the event are editable. The event owner can edit details like Description, Event Image, Services Details and toggle between the Private Event options.
While creating the event, if the event owner opts for an Event Management Company, all the details and requirements of the event will only be sent to the Event Management Companies. Even if the event ownerselects other services, the request will only be sent to the Event Management Companies.
Yes, EventSouk provides the option to host an event at a pre-decided venue. While creating an event, the event owner can opt for an “Existing Venue” where he can give all the details of the venue.
The event owner can cancel his event only before it closes. Once an event is cancelled, no service provider can place any bid. The event owner will also not be able to select any existing bid. Also, invitations cannot be sent after an event is cancelled.
EventSouk allows service providers to place bids till 3 days after an event is created. Post 3 days, the event cannot receive any more bids. The event owner can only select a bid form the existing bids.
Once a service has placed a bid, you will be able to view its service page. The service page shows information such as description, rating, reviews, bids placed, bids selected and their portfolio. Based on these factors, the event owner can determine whether the service is a perfect fit for the event.
An event can receive any number of bids within 3 days from the time of creation of the event. EventSouk does not impose any restriction on the number of bids received by an event.
Every time an event receives a bid, the bid details will be added to the “Services” table on the event page. With every bid, there will be a “Select” button. If the event owner wishes to select that particular bid, he can click the “Select” button to do so.
Once the bid has been selected, a mail will be sent to the event owner with the contact details of the service. Using these details, the event owner can contact the provider and host the event.
After the event owner has sent invitations, the status of every invite will be displayed on the event page.
A private event is an event that will not be displayed on the Browse Events page which can be viewed by all service providers on EventSouk. The event details will only be viewable by the suitable service providers.
EventSouk provides an option to receive bids only from the best service providers on EventSouk. If an event is a Featured Event, the event owner will receive limited bids only from the best service providers on EventSouk.
Event Management Companies are also a part of the EventSouk system. Event Management Companies can receive leads to events that require Event Management Companies.
EventSouk helps service providers to know about the events that they can provide their services for. EventSouk also enables service providers to place bids for the suitable events. These bids will be directly seen by the event owner. Hence, EventSouk is an easy and quick tool to get event leads and also place bids for them instantly.
Every time a new suitable event is created, the provider will receive a notification with a count on “Events” on the top navigation bar. On clicking on “Events”, the provider can view the full list of suitable events.
The provider also has the option to receive email and SMS notifications every time a new suitable is created. These settings can be changed from the user’s Settings page.
EventSouk gives many options for the services to build their profiles for better response. Giving complete information above the service is the easiest way to boost the event owner’s confidence and give them all the necessary information. Every service can also be rated by the event owners who have worked with the service on an event. Good ratings will drastically increase the success rate of the service. Every service is also eligible to upload their portfolio for the event owners to see. The best of the events can be added in the portfolio.
Premium service providers can also get their service verified by EventSouk. Verified services give the event owners a lot of confidence about the service.
Every service is eligible to upload their portfolio to display the events that they have previously been a part of. A portfolio item is one of the events you add in the portfolio.
Every service can receive ratings and reviews. Only the event owners who have selected the service for one or more events are eligible to vote the service.
Every time a bid is selected or unselected, the provider will receive a notification with a count on “Services” on the top navigation bar. On clicking on “Services”, the provider will be taken to the services dashboard. By clicking on the service’s “View Full List” link, the provider can view the status of all the bids.
The provider also has the option to receive email and SMS notifications every time a bid is selected or unselected. These settings can be changed from the user’s Settings page.
To view all the events on EventSouk, the provider can click on “Events” on the top navigation bar. This will take him to the Events Feed page. By clicking on the “All Events” link on that page, all the events can be visible.
A bid can be placed by going to the event page. You can go to an event page through the Event Feed page or Browse Events page. Once on the event page, in the Services table, if the provider is eligible to bid for any of the services in that event, a “Place Bid” button will appear on the right side of the table. By clicking on the “Place Bid” button, the provider will be prompted to enter the amount and proposal details.
A bid can be deleted after it is placed from the Service’s bids page. However, if another bid for that service in that event is already selected, the bid cannot be deleted. It will be saved as an “Unselected” bid. Also, if the bid is selected, the provider cannot delete the bid.
If an event for which a bid is placed get cancelled or closes, an email will be sent to the service providers who have placed a bid.
All the details of the service can be edited after the service is created, except for service type. Once the service type is selected, it cannot be changed. To change the service type of the service, the service will have to be deleted and recreated.
EventSouk does not permit the service to change the service type after the service is created. A new service has to be created to use another service type.
After a bid is selected, the contact details of the event owner will be sent to the provider’s email address.
The provider can delete any of his services at any time. However, the provider must be aware that by deleting the service, the ratings, reviews, bids and portfolio will be erased and irreversible.
